  1. Jerry,

Read your “Uncle Jer’s Christmas Decoration and Quick Holiday Decoder Guide” in the I V Press. Loved the fruitcake story. I think I got it last year!

Just wanted to tweek your holiday lights a little. We don’t take ours down until after January 6th (Epiphany). In the Mexican tradition, we have the celebration of the manifestation of Jesus to the three kings, along with the “rosca” (you probably know what that is by now) and whoever gets the little baby Jesus figure in their piece of bread, must provide treats on February 2, “Dia de la Candelaria” which is the presentation of the Baby Jesus at the temple. I’ve known some persons to swallow the little figure just so they don’t have to provide the treats!!!

Merry Christmas to your and your family and may the light of Christ burn brightly in all of us this holiday season!
